Welcome To Our Critters
Mission Statement:
We take in needy animals that are surrendered or pulled from the shelters. We socialize & retrain them in hopes of grooming them to be well rounded very adoptable pets.
We do animal rehab/re-training on a private basis. We are NOT a non profit 501(c). As of March 17th 2008 we are a legit private business that is registered with the state of VA.
Please watch the video below to learn about some of the needy animals we have helped in the past. As we stared deep into the eyes of each hurt & neglected animal each time our heart broke only to be rewarded a million times over when the animal realized we were there to help and they trusted us!
Donate To Help The Animals
We are not a non profit 501(c). We can not give tax deductible receipts for your donations to help the animals. In fact we have to count everything that is given to us on our tax returns as income.We appreciate your support regardless. You can however deduct the amount of your donation from any of the web design, web hosting services that we offer to fund our rescue efforts. This offer is good for any time in the future. If you would rather buy some supplies from my vet in place of sending the donation here, that would be fine (I can pick them up, I am there about every week). We need heart worm preventive for dogs of all sizes, flea control for cats and dogs. Just anything that would be useful for the animals here. Just send me a note after you make a purchase there so I will know what I need to pick up.

Visiting Our Rescue
Please note, we do not allow visits to our rescue with out a completed adoption application beforehand. Once you place your application and you are approved to adopt we would be happy to make an appointment for you to visit with the animals. There will be no exception to this requirement what so ever! An appointment will have to be made in advance to come here because we have a few dogs that have free roam of the farm, that do not take kindly to strangers! We have to have notice so we can kennel them up. You can find the adoption application on the "Our Animals For Adoption" page of this site.
NOTICE PLEASE READ!
As of Sept 2009 we will require all adopters to pay for a health certificate for any rescue that we deliver out of the state of VA. It is the law. The cost should not be no more than $20 for an wellness exam and health certificate.
We Take In Owner Surrendered Animals
We take in animals from people who need to surrender them for what ever reason. We do charge a modest fee for the surrenders. The way we see it is we are providing a service and a life long commitment to the animal you can no longer care for, or can't keep, it is only right for you to help out a little. Without our service many animals would go to the pound to die, or placed in a "free to a good home" where they are abused and lost track of. We will work to find your animal a new home, if none is found the animal always have a safe life long home with us regardless. The modest fee helps off set the cost of medical upkeep and spay and neuter if they have not been already.For more information on the requirements to send an animal here please see the Placing Animals With Us Page.
TRANSPORT IS AVAILABLE FOR OUR RESCUES TO THEIR NEW HOMES!
This is our transport van. I have dubbed it the "Critter Gitter"! It is not much to look at, but it gets the job done. The animals can ride in comfort on long delivery trips.
Our next transport will be the weekend of Nov 13th or the weekend of Dec 5th. We can deliver to the VA/MD line!
