We help the animals for pure unselfish reasons. We do what we do for the animals and the animals alone. We don't ask for any special recognition as God knows our hearts are pure and our intentions are good.
We are a no kill shelter. What we do is take in needy animals and we retrain them and modify any bad behaviors they might have. We take in surrendered pets and we pull from the animal shelters at various locations. Not only do we do training work, we take care of the animals medical need's including spay/neuter. Once training and rehab is completed we work to finding a suitable home for the animal. Some animals are never adopted for one reason or another and those animals will live with us on our farm.
We pay taxes on what we make and we are a legit business. We can and will legally ask for adoption fees on all our animals from here on out. Please note we are registered as a regular business and we do not have non profit status. I repeat we are not a non profit 501(c) business. Although we do not make one penny profit on any of our animals...believe me when I say we go way in the hole as far as money in concerned.
We charge a minimal adoption fee for all our animals. We charge a fee because we are offering a service. When you adopt one of our pets you are getting a trained pet who has been fully vetted. We do all the foot work to make sure the animal is adoptable. We make sure the animal is socialized, has basic leash manners, knows basic commands,potty trained. If there are any issues that are not solved at the time of adoption we will let the adopter know. We also test to see if they are kid friendly and are OK with other animals around. We make sure that our animals go to their new home neutered/spayed & up to date on vaccinations. We either have them fixed before they go to their new home or we MAKE sure the adopter has it done. Our adoption fee for our dogs are $145-$200 ( some may be lower and some may be higher)and the adoption fee for the cats will be $75.00 Keep in mind the fees are minimal and normally we have several hundred dollars sank in to each animal by the time it is adopted. We require each adopter to complete a pre-screening application and then sign and complete an adoption contract if they are approved. We do check references. You will find that our adoption process is not as invasive and strict as some are, but in the end we still have the best interest of the animals at heart!
Notice: We allow visitors BY APPOINTMENT ONLY! All visitors who are interested in adopting an animal or visiting with the animals must complete a pre screen application BEFORE
the appointment is made to come visit. Appointments are easier for us
and could save you some trouble in the long run. We are not always at
home, and I would hate for someone to drive here (esp long distances)
