All visitors who are interested in adopting an animal  or visiting with the animals must complete a pre screen application BEFORE the appointment is made to come visit. Appointments are easier for us and could save you some trouble in the long run. We are not always at home, and I would hate for someone to drive here (esp long distances) and us not be here! Steps to adopt one of our animals! Please read the directions carefully!
 

1-Submit the Pdf Version Of Our pre adoption application along with your $10.00 application fee. You must submit the application fee before you send in your application.
 
You can pay the application fee by clicking the button below. You can pay with any credit card or debit card. You do not have to have a PayPal account. The amount is set at $10 which is our application fee.
 
Note: if you are coming to this page to pay your adoption deposit, please go to the home page and pay via the donation button there. You can enter what ever amount you want to send. The button below is for the application fee which is set at $10.00.
 
          

2-I will then get back to you within 1 day and let you know if you are approved or not!
 
Note* No appointments will be be made to visit here or with the animals until I have your completed and approved adoption application!
 
3-You will then submit your $65.00 spay/neuter deposit to us along with the completed adoption contract, if the animal you are adopting is is over 6 months and has not been altered yet,  OR you must submit  a $25.00 holding deposit if the animal is already altered.

4-If the animal is not altered(and is old enough and the proper weight), we will personally take the animal to be altered before it goes to it's new home.
 

5-When you come to pick your new adopted pet up the adoption fee will be due along with any delivery fees you may owe!
 
6- As of Sept 2009 we will require all adopters to pay for the cost of a health certificate if WE ARE TO TRANSPORT OVER THE VA LINE! It is the law. Health certificates fees are $20.00!
 
 
I reserve the right to refuse anyone that I think will not make a suitable home for any of our animals! Please understand our screening policies are not as invasive as some rescues. We do however check references and make sure our animals are going to a good home. It is our duty to make sure that the lives of all our rescues are BETTER than their lives BEFORE "Our Critters"! 
 
 
 


Notice:  We offer free pet carriers with each cat adoption. If you adopt more than one cat, I ask you to include $15 extra with your adoption fees to cover the cost of the extra carrier!

The cost of spay/neuter is included in the adoption fee for all animals that are old enough! 
 
 
If you want me to bring an animal to meet you on one of our transports before committing to adopt, you are still required to pay the $25 holding deposit. Once you meet the pet and you do not want to adopt then you are not obligated to. The holding deposit covers my time and effort. It also covers the fact that while the animal was reserved for you and taken off the website, many potential homes could have passed the animal by. It is only fair! Holding deposits are not refundable!

Meeting Our Animals

 Delivery Rates For Our Rescue Animals
 
We can deliver dogs that have been adopted from us to any surrounding state. We try to set several deliveries at once to help cover our gas cost.
 
If you want rush delivery and you don't want to wait for a set trip you would be expected to cover our gas expenses in full! That means the gas it takes to get to you and the gas it takes us to get back home.
 
If we have several going on a run the average delivery fee is $35 per animal IF THEY ARE ADOPTED FROM US! 
 
 
Transport For Other Rescues & People.
 
We charge $75-$125 per dog/cat for transport.
 
The dog/cat must have a health certificate if it is going across state lines NO EXCEPTIONS!
 
The dog/cat must be current on all vaccinations including rabies.
 
All dogs must be sent with a collar/leash! We will provide a crate for transport if we can.
 
All cats must be sent in a carrier!
